The frequency with which you use Cooltech MTC depends on a variety of factors, including the intensity of machine usage, the type of materials being processed and your maintenance schedule. In most situations, we recommend using Cooltech MTC as part of a regular, preventive maintenance schedule – typically during scheduled fluid changeovers or at machine intervals. That way, operators can apply the product directly to the required surfaces, which means there’s more opportunity to remove loosened contaminants before restarting the system.

Yes, we recommend that operators wear safety glasses and protective gloves or clothing when using Cooltech MTC to ensure safe working conditions. You can always consult the Safety Data Sheet for this product for detailed guidance on safe handling and PPE requirements to keep your work environment safe during machine cleaning operations.
When diluted, Cooltech MTC can be used to effectively clean most hard surfaces found on machine tools, including cabinets, guards, CNC doors & windows, chucks and tool handlers. For the best results, we recommend the following dilutions:
- Heavy Soiling: 10:1 – 20:1
- Light Soiling: 20:1 – 40:1
You can adjust the spray nozzle to give a fine or coarse spray depending on your requirements. We’d also advise wiping the surface clean with a dry, absorbent, lint-free wipe or tissue to remove loosened contaminants and ensure a clean finish.
