D2 PRO – Powerwash T20 Traffic Film Remover

Traffic film removers (TFRs) are formulated with just the right mixture of chemicals to break down and lift away traffic film from your car or vehicle. Just in case you didn’t know, traffic film is the layer of grime and dirt your car picks up from regular road use. It can be tricky to loosen, which is why it’s helpful to apply a traffic film remover before contact washing.

When used correctly, traffic film remover (TFR)  is a safe solution to your cleaning needs. Take care to follow instructions for use—especially regarding dilution and application—and avoid direct skin and eye contact. Using TFR that’s too concentrated can damage surfaces, so always check the product technical data sheet for dilutions.

If you’re using a concentrated solution, like our Powerwash T20, then yes, you should dilute your traffic film remover for the best results. Exactly how much water you add depends on the application. We recommend the following dilutions as a general rule: 

1. Pre-Spray – 15:1-20:1
2. Pressure Washer/Steam Cleaner – 50:1 – 60:1
3. Manual Brush/Sponge – 40:1 – 50:1

To apply traffic film remover effectively to your vehicle, all you need to do is follow these three simple steps: 

1. Dilute your TFR according to the product’s instructions.
2. Apply it to a pre-wetted surface, allowing it to soak for a few minutes. 
3. Rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer or hose.

Avoid allowing the TFR to dry on your vehicle’s surface, as it can stain or damage the paint.
