We are appealing to our customers & followers to help support the families of Ukraine by putting together shoe boxes containing essential items to help those in desperate need. We are opening up our trade counter as a drop off point for your donations, we will then ensure these gifts of kindness make their way to those that need them. If you would like to put together a shoe box, below are some ideas on what to include & also what NOT to include.
How you can help Ukrainian Refugees:
- Fill a shoe box ~ See ideas of what to include below…
- Do not seal the lid to the box ~ it needs to be able to be opened to be checked at checking stations & customs
- Put a card/note in it if you wish to ~ Do not include personal addresses or phone numbers
- Write on the top of your box clearly approximate age the box is for & whether it is for Male/Female/Unisex
- Secure the box lid with an elastic band
- Add a list of the contents to the lid of the box ~ for customs
Ideas of what to include:
- IN URGENT NEED OF: knee supports, foot supports, plasters & bandages. Sanitary products, nappies, baby wipes, e45, Sudacrem & Savlon.
- Wash items – flannels, sponges, wrapped bar of soap, new toothbrushes & toothpaste
- Tissues, baby wipes & nappies
- Hairbrushes & combs
- First aid items ~ plasters, bandages, paracetamol etc
- Sanitary items
- Small cuddly toy or teddy
- Small toys ~ nothing war related
- Children’s activity books, colouring books, paper, pens, pencils, & crayons
- Hat, scarf & gloves
- Socks & tights
- Small clothing items
- Small blankets
- Torches
- Phone chargers, power banks & headphones
- A card with a kind message in
Where to take your shoe box:
- Bring your shoe box donation to our trade counter anytime Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm: Pennine Lubricants, 32 Atlas Way, Sheffield, S4 7QQ
- Our Pennine drivers can also collect your donations from you as they deliver your order.
