Tramp Oil Removal for Cleaner, Longer-Lasting Coolant

Tramp oil is hydraulic, slideway or spindle oil that leaks into your coolant and floats on the surface of the sump. Left there, it cuts off oxygen, encourages bacteria and bad smells, and reduces cooling performance, so the coolant has to be changed more frequently. Removing it regularly is one of the easiest ways to extend coolant life, protect your tools and keep the workshop healthier for operators.

The CNC OS2 Tramp Oil Skimmer is a simple, effective way to lift tramp oil from individual coolant sumps. For heavier contamination or for several machines, the mobile Freddy Tramp Oil Separator (TOS) cleans water-soluble metalworking fluids and returns them to the machine. For cleaning out sumps and dealing with spills, choose the robust Freddy Superminor Plus or the Freddy Midi coolant vacuums, available in 200 and 300 litre capacities.
